Vladikavkaz Institute of Management celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021. The first non - governmental institute of higher education in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania was established a quarter of a century ago, and today it is a prestigious educational institution with its own cherished traditions and high achievements. The institute trains specialists in high-demanded and the trendiest areas. Advanced educational technologies and the principle of an individual approach to each student are implemented in the course of training. Over the years more than ten thousand young specialists graduated from the institute, many of whom are employed in governmental structures, legal system, in the field of economics, science and education. Vladikavkaz Institute of Management implements further education programmes – extension courses and occupational retraining – alongside with basic educational programmes. Over three thousand state and civil employees, personnel department, financial and economic structures and law-enforcement bodies’ staff undertook training in the institute.
For the great contribution to the training of qualified personnel, the Institute was twice awarded the Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation, the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and has a Certificate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, enlisting the institute on the register of the CCI of the Russian Federation.
Vladikavkaz Institute of Management is a member of the Federal Association of Law Universities and Association of Non-Governmental Universities of Russia (ANVUZ) since 1996. According to the ANVUZ first national rating Vladikavkaz Institute of Management was among top 17 of private universities of Russia.
The training process in the institute is closely related to lecturers and students’ research work. Since 1997, the Institute has been operating a Research Center that coordinates research on topical issues of Russian federalism and the formation of the constitutional state in the Russian Federation, ethno political processes in the Caucasus, problems of socio-economic and cultural development of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. Since 1998 the institute has been publishing a scientific edition – “Bulletin of the Vladikavkaz Institute of Management”. The institute is a scientific host for international and regional conferences, round tables, scientific seminars, many of which became traditional. The Institute’s landmark is annual research and training conference “Individual, State, and Society: traditional problems and new aspects”. In May, 2021 XXII conference will take place on the occasion of the Vladikavkaz Institute of Management’s anniversary.
Vladikavkaz Institute of Management cooperates with state and local authorities, financial institutions and law enforcement authorities. Over 50 contracts have been signed on establishing practicing base, joint scientific and research and training conferences, seminars.
